How well did Cardinal Pacelli see what the Church was doing to herself. Yet when he became Pope he contributed to the Church's undoing by failing to solemnly consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart in union with the bishops of the world.
How could Cardinal Pacelli be so prescient yet fail to respond to the Blessed Virgin's words?
It should be an object lesson to us all.
How often we fail to do the right thing!
